Santa Lucia, from Karastan's Carmel collection, is a bold safari collage: panels of leopard, giraffe and zebra pattern are pieced together with blocks of softly striated taupe and grey, like a patchwork of animal hides. The Chestnut colorway runs from deep espresso and chocolate through honey gold to warm cream, so it reads as rich and earthy rather than loud, and the patchwork layout gives it a modern, gallery-wall feel. Made in the USA by Karastan with a dense cut pile that's soft underfoot and hides everyday traffic well. A natural fit for a den, study, media room or a bedroom with leather and wood tones.
